  • The City of Maple Plain completed its 2023 Sealcoating Project last week. This project was implemented to improve 4 miles of streets in our community. More details, including a map of the streets that were improved through this project, can be viewed here. Additionally, you may view the City's 2023 - 2034 Street Improvement Plan here.
  • The 2022 Maple Plain Drinking Water Report was published on Monday, June 12, 2023. This report, also referred to as a Consumer Confidence Report, is comprised of City collected data related to the quality of drinking water in 2022.   • The date for Night to Unite 2023 has officially been set for Tuesday, August 1st from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM. If you are interested in setting up a party in your neighborhood, please register with the West Hennepin Public Safety Department before Tuesday, July 25th.   • Save the date! The Maple Plain Historical Museum will be hosting their Annual Ice Cream Social on Saturday, August 12th from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM. Visit the Maple Plain Historical Museum (5240 Main Street E.) to enjoy this community event with tasty treats!
  • Art in the Park will be returning to Veterans Memorial Park on Thursday, September 28th from 5:00 - 7:00 PM. This event, put on by Orono Community Education, is a fantastic get-together with free art activities and music! We hope to see you there!
  • The Maple Plain Fire Department will be hosting their Fire Department Open House on Saturday, October 7th from 11 AM - 5 PM. Those attending this event can meeting our local firefighters, take a ride on the firetruck, enjoy fun games, and dine on tasty food! This event will be held at the Maple Plain Fire Department (1645 Pioneer Ave, Maple Plain).
  • The City of Maple Plain is officially accepting nominations for the 2023 Good Neighbor Award. This award is the highest award granted by the Maple Plain City Council to an individual, organization, or business in Maple Plain. This Good Neighbor Awardee is someone that exhibits a lifetime of service and dedication through volunteerism, virtue, civic engagement, and creativity to meet community needs.   • Please keep an eye out for ponding areas this spring. The City is investigating excess sources of rain water entering the sanitary sewer system. The main sign of ponding is a large area of pooling water that then recedes, but not into a storm sewer inlet. If you notice any ponding areas, please contact the City at 763-479-0515.
  • The City Council discussed the snow removal contractors, 2024 health benefits, and street improvement projects during the July 24, 2023 City Council Workshop. More information can be obtained in the packet from this meeting.
  • The City Council discussed the new City Administrator hiring during the July 24, 2023 City Council Business Meeting. More information can be obtained in the packet from this meeting.
