  • The final yard waste collection day is quickly approaching! Republic Services collects yard waste and brush free of charge on garbage collection days from April 11, 2022 to November 14, 2022. This means that Republic Services will no longer be collecting yard waste after Monday, November 14th. It is unlawful to burn your waste, so be sure to circle the final collection day on your calendar!
  • Winter snow will be upon us shortly, meaning that Maple Plain winter parking restrictions will soon be in place. Parking is not allowed on any street November 1st - April 15 from 1 AM - 7 AM (this policy is in effect even when there is no snow). After 3 inches or more of snowfall, parking is not allowed on any City street until that street has been flowed full width.
  • Street sweeping began the week of Monday, October 24 and should be completed by Friday, October 28. Parking vehicles on private drives, and off of the City streets, would be greatly appreciated at this time to best allow the street sweepers to complete a quality and thorough job. Thank you!
  • As a reminder. City Code mandates that all dogs must be kept on leashes when on public streets or public land. Dog owners are also mandated to pick up pet waste. We encourage all residents to enjoy our City's public facilities with their pets, but we also ask that pet owners act responsibly to keep our communities safe and clean.
  • Freezing temperatures and snowfall are officially upon us! Cold temperatures means that the public restrooms at Veterans Memorial Park are now closed for the season. Rainbow Park's public restrooms will remain open as they are heated.
  • The City of Maple Plain received a donation from the Rotary Club of Orono of $9,000 to be used for a pair of lighting projects in the Veterans Memorial Park picnic shelter. The Rotary Club of Orono raised these funds through their annual Party in the Park event, which took place this year on June 4th. Since 2018, proceeds from the annual Party in the Park, in addition to a generous District Rotary Grant, has enabled the club to donate nearly $43,000 to improvements at Veterans Memorial Park. Thank you to the Rotary Club of Orono for their donation and for making our community a better place! You can read more about the Rotary donation here.
