The City of Maple Plain administers City, State, and Federal elections.
Primary Election - Tuesday, August, 14, 2018 (Polls open 7 am to 8 pm)
General Election - Tuesday, November 6, 2018 (Polls open 7 am to 8 pm)
In conjunction with the State General Election, Maple Plain will hold its municipal election November 6, 2018. Two at-large positions on City Council will be on the ballot. Terms for these Council postions are four years beginning January 1, 2019 and ending December 31, 2022.
People interested in running for office must file an Affidavit of Candidacy and pay a $2 filing fee at City Hall, 5050 Independence Street, Maple Plain, MN 55359. The first day to file an Affidavit of Candidacy is July 31, the last day to file is August 14. Filing hours are during regular office hours 8 am - 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday with the exception of August 14. On August 14th filing will be available until 5 pm.
